Become a part of phygital history!

The Games of the Future is the leading global event in phygital sport, bringing together professional players, teams and fans. The tournament plays an important role in the development of phygital, where digital and physical activities combine to create a new sporting format.

The next Games of the Future (GOTF 2026) will be held in Astana from July 29 to August 9, 2026.

We’re putting together a team of volunteers who want to be at the center of this huge international phygital event, gain a unique experience and become a part of history.

Basic requirements for a volunteer:
  • The minimum age is 16 years
  • English language proficiency at least B2 level
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
  • Volunteer experience is considered an asset
  • Willing to complete training and be available for the whole duration of the event
What a volunteer gets
  • the uniform of the volunteer of GOTF 2026;
  • meals during shifts;
  • training according to international standards;
  • international project participant certificate;
  • unique experience and career opportunities;
  • other material and non-material remuneration.
Volunteer activities
  • Service line volunteers Help organize services for various GOTF 2026 client groups and the SWAT-team rapid response team.
  • Protocol Volunteers Accompany official delegations, guests and participants during protocol events.
  • Competition Venue Volunteers Help in the organization and execution of competitions at sports and esports venues.
  • Team Leader Volunteers Coordinate volunteer groups and monitor the performance of tasks in a functional area.

April 10 – June 30, 2026
Applications due
Fill out the form on the website. It will take only 15–20 minutes to submit an application.
If you wish to be a team leader, submit your application early as we will begin shortlisting leadership candidates as soon as applications open.
April 10–20, 2026
Selection of team leaders
Please indicate your experience and desire to become a team leader in the application. Show evidence of your managerial skills and get the opportunity to lead a team of volunteers.
April 15 – May 15, 2026
Interviews
Take part in the interview, tell us about your skills and motivation, and get the chance to volunteer in your chosen functional area.
May – June 2026
Two-stage training
Take part in general orientation and functional training to get acquainted with the program of the Games of the Future 2026, as well as your specific tasks and responsibilities.
June 8–15, 2026
International Qualifying Tournaments
Become a volunteer at Phygital Contenders, the qualifying competition for the Games of the Future 2026 and experience the Games' atmosphere before they officially begin.
July 2026
Final training
Complete training on site at the Games of the Future 2026 to better navigate the venues and be ready to work during the competition.
July 29 – August 15, 2026

Training and Documents

Training Program:
  • general training (history and mission of the project, rights and duties of a volunteer);
  • role-specific functional training;
  • on-site training (safety and venue operations).

All selected volunteers undergo mandatory training on set dates and deadlines

Documents for volunteers:
  • the volunteer code of the Games of the Future 2026;
  • the volunteer's handbook;

The documents will be available on the website and in the telegram channel for volunteers on 1 May 2026.
